A little about Vitamins A & D....
Vitamin A is essential for the maintenance of
healthy epithelial tissue, which is found in the eyes,
skin, respiratory system, GI and urinary tracts.
Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption and calcium transport to bones.
Beta-Carotene is converted into Vitamin A in the liver.
Recent research indicates that Beta-Carotene appears to
help in cancer prevention as it scavenges, or neutralizes, free radicals.
Comments....
Laxatives, antibiotics, and some cholesterol lowering
drugs interfere with the absorption of Vitamin A.
Warnings....
Children, women who are pregnant or lactating,
people with liver disease or hypothyroidism should consult
with their physician or pharmacist prior to taking Vitamin A.
